Fe Punzalan

Silver Punzalan II Inc.
President/Administrator/Registered Nurse
United States
Fe graduated 5th out of 75 topnotch aspirants who were ready to make a difference in the world of nursing. Fe’s genius is not only defined by her academic accomplishments but as well as by uncommon proclivity as risk taker. Immediately after a year of service to PGH, she braved the waters of bedside nursing at Provident Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. With firm resolve to find a niche yet unexplored, Fe moved to California where she imprinted her footprints as auspicious entrepreneur of multi-facility community care residences for young adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. This did not happen overnight.

While serving as assistant nurse manager at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara California in 1991, she earned her baccalaureate degree in nursing at California State University, the same university that conferred her an MSN in 1995. Amidst the chaos of too much overtime and demands from growing kids, her husband German propositioned to operate a care facility with promising return on investments and more quality time with family. Immediately thereafter, Fe and her husband made a well calculated risk to venture the world of market capitalism.

Fe is no ordinary entrepreneur. As early as 1998 she received the first grant award for the development of group home facility for children in the State of California, a second and a third award became normative. In 2002, Fe was conferred by the San Andres Regional Center, Santa Clara County, California the “Service Provider of the Year” award in recognition of her exemplary contributions in the improvement of services and support for persons with developmental abilities. In 2009, the Filipina Women’s Network entered Fe as one of 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in America.

She did not just sit tight on her laurels but shared her blessings. She mentored seven couples in developing/founding residential care facilities as pro-bono consultant. She did not forget her kababayans back home and facilitated their legal entry in the US as migrant workers in her facilities. One of Fe’s heartwarming gesture was employing one of our late classmates, Zenith Zuniga.

In 2019 she received an Award as one of the “100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World” held in Paris, France

In 2020, she received an “Outstanding Award for Community Service” from UP-Philippine General Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association (UP-PGHSNAA)
