State of the World: Politics and Civil RightsModerator: Lorna Kapunan, Esq.How do Filipina Women use their Pinay Power? What did it take for Filipina Women to decide to run for office? Examining the obstacles and successes in greater depth about winning, taking charge, finding a sponsor vs a mentor, creating and nurturing your political network, being political savvy, networking the political hierarchy, managing the campaign and dealing with women's and civil rights issues in your respective geographic areas. A discussion of the many pieces of the puzzle to be mindful of how to reach your full potential as elected officials.
This is an informal Kwentuhan session (a la "The View'') among kindred spirits of how being bi-cultural (for those who live outside of the Philippines) and being a woman in a male-dominated political field.
