FÁTIMA PILGRIMAGE

IMPORTANT:
  • 04 NOV 8:30AM: 
    • Check-out of Dom Pedro Hotel
    • Breakfast at Dom Pedro
    • Porter Service: IMPORTANT for your convenience and safety of your luggage/s: If you have hotel reservations for 05 NOV at Dom Pedro, for €3 (Euros) fee, you may leave your luggage in your room when you check out on 04 NOV.
    • Porter will pick up your luggage/s and put them in storage and then bring your luggage/s back to your room when you check-in on 05 NOV. Make sure your luggage/s are locked and clearly showing your luggage tag with your name. 
    • If you wish to take advantage of this porter service, please email FWN100@ffwn.org with subject line: FATIMA porter service. The €3 will be charged to your room as an "incidental" miscellaneous charge.
    • We are staying at a hotel in Fatima for ONE night on 04 NOV, included in your FATIMA Pilgrimage fee. Take a small luggage with only the items you will need for the 2-Day trip.
    • Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. We suggest layering. Bring a shawl and a light raincoat (and an umbrella) in case it rains but forecast indicates it might not rain. But then, there's Climate Change.
    • We will have the same bus, driver and English-speaking guide with us for the 2 day trip.
  • 9:00AM 
    • MEET at the front entrance lobby of the Dom Pedro Hotel to board tour bus.

POST-SUMMIT 2-Day Trip on a private hire shuttle from Dom Pedro Hotel and back.

04 NOV: Day 1 - LISBON / OBIDOS / SANGUINHAL / FÁTIMA
  • 8:30AM Board private shuttle to begin Fátima Pilgrimage
  • 9AM departure for Óbidos and stop at this medieval village surrounded by the walls of its castle and typical for its white limed houses. Tasting of "ginjinha" (cherry liqueur) in a chocolate cup.
  • Depart for a typical “quinta” (wine-estate) in Bombarral where you will find the owner that will talk about the family business of wines, show you the estate, the old cellars and the vineyards and taste some of the company’s wines.
  • A buffet lunch of local gastronomy will be served.
  • After lunch departure to FÁTIMA, where the Blessed Mother appeared in 1917 to three simple little shepherds. Free time to discover the shops of religious items for blessing at the Chapel.
  • End of the day arrival at hotel in FÁTIMA and dinner.
  • We've been able to arrange an English Mass prior to the candlelight procession.
  • After dinner, participate in the Rosary and candlelight procession. 
  • Overnight accommodations in Fatima for 04 November (one night) in included in your tour fee.

05 NOV: Day 2 - FÁTIMA / SINTRA / CASCAIS / ALCOCHETE / LISBOA
  • 7:30AM Get ready to check-out of Fátima hotel.
  • Breakfast at the hotel and some time to discover Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared in August 1917 after the children were released from prison; Aljustrel, the hamlet where the original homes of the children are, and the Parish church where the children were baptized.
  • Departure to the medieval village of Sintra, former Royal summer residence and chosen to inspire writers and poets, such as Lord Byron who named it “the Garden of Eden”. Some time free to discover the village and departure to Cascais to lunch at Restaurante Furnas do Guincho.
  • After lunch departure to Alcochete to have some time free for designer brands shopping at Freeport outlet.
  • Return to Lisbon at the end of the day, 7PM.
