How I Found My Ikigai: Passion, Mission, Vocation, Profession(one-minute video and PPT)
Ikigai is a Japanese concept that combines the terms iki, meaning “alive” or “life,” and gai, meaning “benefit” or “worth.” When combined, these terms mean that which gives your life worth, meaning, or purpose. My talk will describe how I turned my passion for advocating for people with disabilities into a combination of my mission, my vocation, and my profession. I will talk about my conviction to follow my calling and how the road led me to my current role as Senior Vice President and Chief Workforce Inclusion Officer at PRIDE Industries.
